This is a special broadcast made at the request of the International Space Agency and the United States Office of Planetary Defense. Our plans have failed. The horrifying cosmic entity, NBX-291, colloquially known as the "Dark Doodad", remains unimpeded by our efforts. Within hours, it will consume our planet, and humanity will cease to exist.

But there is one man who refuses to surrender...

DR. GUMPHREY FINKLESTEIN, PhD

Dr. Gumphrey Finklestein! A scientist of yesteryear, possessed with a seemingly unflappable will and what he describes as a "God-given plan". He's devised one last Hail Mary for the human race; an experiment unlike anything our world has ever seen...

THE MARVELOUS ROOM EXPERIMENT

Deep within the walls of our Nevada facility, "The Marvelous Room Experiment" is already underway. This Room is capable of transferring objects and items from other universes and realities into our own. It's unclear whether even Fink himself can predict what oddities will apparate within the Room's bounds.


50 Items will be materialized and inspected by a remote-controlled VINC-ENT unit, an android typically used for space repairs. Only after all 50 Items have been inspected can a weapon powerful enough to stop the Dark Doodad be manifested... or, so says Fink.
