The early access version of this title has sold over one million copies worldwide. Backpack Battles, which has gone through around 40 updates over the past year, has been played for a total of approximately 35 million hours to date. On Steam, it has received over 13,500 reviews and holds a “Very Positive” rating from players. The full 1.0 version introduces wealth of new content, including two new characters in new classes, class-specific items for existing characters, new outfits, Steam achievements, and trading cards. To enhance the overall user experience, various quality-of-life features have been added, along with improved visual effects. ■ About New Class

◇ New Class: Mage
The Mage is designed for experienced players who enjoy complex strategies. This class emphasizes resource and space management, offering high flexibility through the crafting of multi-elemental spell items by combining different types of scrolls.
One of her unique mechanics is "wizard chess" — players can place black and white chess pieces in the backpack that activate effects during battle when capturing or being captured.
One of the Mage’s starting loadouts is the "Puzzle Bag" which allows her to gain access to bags in Tetris-block shapes that have special effects and are tricky to fit into place.

◇ New Class: Adventurer
One of her loadouts gives her access to items of all six classes, while at the same time generating arbitrary items.
Her signature crafting mechanic revolves around “Twine”, a simple item that allows players to combine neutral items that otherwise would not fit together. For example:
Two spears can be tied into a “Very Long Spear” that barely fits a maximum size backpack.
An “Impractically Large Greatsword” can be combined with a “Bloodthorne” to create the “Impractically Large Bloodthorne” — a powerful late-game weapon.

■ About Backpack Battle
In Backpack Battles, you fight with your backpack full of items. It matters what you buy, and especially how you place it! The smarter you place your items, the stronger you will be! Items come in different shapes, sizes, prices, and rarities. Combine them into even stronger equipment. Brew a powerful potion, craft a legendary weapon, or hatch a dragon friend!
